Bristol Community create it’s own local currency

Bristol is a community in the UK that in 2012 create a local currency called the Bristol pound. It was created to encourage people to spend their money with local, independent businesses in Bristol, and for those businesses to in turn localise their own supply chains.

Bristol pound is the largest local currency in the UK creating a community of local businesses and helping them thrive.

This is a very interesting and effective solution for group economics and creating more prosperity for the people in the community. Lessons can definitely learnt and implemented to other community across the globe.
